It answers the phone and then transmits your commands over your existing house wiring to control lights and appliances connected to X-10 modules.

You plug lamps into Lamp Modules, plug appliances into Appliance Modules, and replace wall switches with Wall Switch Modules (sold separately) to control important indoor and outdoor security lights.

The Thermostat Set-Back Controller lets you call and warm up or cool down a ski cottage or summer home before you leave on vacation.
