The PA-5800 is a plug-in console
with back up battery, it provides a programmable
voice dialer, audio alarm, listen in feature, water proof
pendant, flashing lights and remote control with optional
plug-in modules or wall switch that will make your outside
lights flash. This will help the Emergency Vehicle find your
home quicker.
When the console is activated
from the waterproof "Heart Shaped Call Pendant",
the console will sound an audible alarm, this alarm is loud
enough to wake a sleeping companion, Nurse or anyone close
by. The PA-5800 will instantly begin to dial the 4 telephone
numbers in the order they have been positioned in the console.
If no one answers at the first number called, it will dial
the next & the next, if required, all 4 numbers will be
dialed. The system will not stop dialing if an Answering Machine
answers the call.
When the person called answers
the phone, they will hear the "Pre-recorded
Message" that has been inserted into the console when you
installed the unit. An example of a typical message should
sound like this, "HELLO THIS THE HOME OF MR. &
MRS JONES, WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY IN OUR HOME, PLEASE TOUCH
" 0 " ON YOU PHONE & LISTEN FOR MORE INFORMATION, THIS
MESSAGE WILL BE REPEATED"
When the person called touches
" 0 ", they will be able to listen into the
home to hear the calls of the person in distress, they will
be able to determine the nature of the problem & call
911 if required. Remember, it is against the law in most
cities, for a machine or Monitoring company to call 911. 911
must be able to talk to some one at the scene to assess the
situation to determine the type of emergency vehicle that
is required.
Your calling list should include people that
are able to open the locked door for the response team, a
key holder.
The PA-5800 provides all this
for a very low, one-time price. Both Console
& Pendant are included along with the necessary hardware
for anyone to install. In most cases, it not necessary to
contact any professional installer, this is a "Do It Yourself"
project. Unlike the more expensive systems, there are NO

Unlike other personal security
systems, this does not require a special monitoring
service. This eliminates the need for perpetual monthly
monitoring fees. This results in a cost saving for
the individual as the monitoring is done by caring
friends and relatives.
The individual knows their
plea for assistance is heard as the system features
a call acknowledgement. Further instructions can be
relayed through the system over the telephone to the
person receiving the distress call. This allows the
type and severity of the distress to be known and
proper assiatance summoned. For example, if it is
a minor fall the friend can discern the extent of
the injury and personally render assistance or call
the appropriate emergency response team.
The pendant is very sturdy
and waterproof. Some concern has been expressed as
to whether some individuals will have the physical
dexterity to press the call and stop buttons. Upon

it has not posed any problems.
